    Congratulations to Seth Slavin on his 16th place finish in the PIAA State Cross Country Championship on Saturday 11/5. Congratulations to Gabe Sullivan who placed 75th in the boys Class 3A race and Liz Eberhardt placed 80th in the Class 3A girls race.

  • Spanish class at PVMS celebrating el Día de los Muertos(more pictures here)

    Students learned a lot and gained a special appreciation for this Holiday celebrated in Mexico and other Spanish speaking countries. We have all suffered from the loss of loved ones, or will at some point in our lives, but these two days are dedicated to remembering those lives together as a community. Ms. Santiago is very proud of her Spanish I students for all they did to prepare for and to celebrate this holiday with their PV family.

  • Hoops for Heart a Big Success at PVI

    PVI students raised money for and participated in their annual Hoops for Heart event. PVI raised $4220.00 for the American Heart Association to help the fight against heart disease. Thanks to all who participated and great job PVI!

    PVHS Art students had a big showing at the Pocono Arts Council Juried Student Art Show. A total of 12 entries were made from the high school.   • PVMS Continues to Spread Positivity

    Students at the Middle School conducted a “Chalk Walk” to spread positive messages and pictures so that everyone feels welcome, safe, and positive as they enter the building.   • Marching Band Wins State Title

    The marching band competed in the Pennsylvania State Marching Band Championships which were held at West Chester University. Our PV Marching Band earned 1st place (for the 3rd time in a row this year) scoring higher than five other competing bands and were declared the State Champions of our division.

  • Spirit is Running High at Pleasant Valley

    This week students participated in a number of events for spirit week leading up to the Bucket Game being held tomorrow at Pocono Mountain East High School at 11:00. The activities included dressing differently each day, decorating hallways or doors, and participating in pep rallies in every school.     PVE Students Jules Kautzsch, Shane Lutz, Maverick Walsh, Brady Cerrone and Daniel Trebour were recognized at tonight's PVHS Girls Volleyball Game against Stroudsburg as part of the PVSD "Lead the Way" Program. These students were recognized for their citizenship, hard work and positive behavior in school. Great Job!

    Pleasant Valley Elementary PTO, ShopRite, HOPE members and the local community rallied this weekend to provide needy students with lunches and breakfasts on “Long Weekends.” In their first attempt this past Saturday they sold more than 200 meals.     The SADD officers visited the Monroe County Commissioners today along with Stroudsburg and Pocono Mtn East high schools. The students talked about what they have done this year to raise awareness to destructive decisions. We also planted flowers for teens that have passed because of destructive decisions.   • Hylands Hope

    Two PVE students, Mattison and Jake Hyland do something called Hylands Hope and every year. Each year they raise money to buy toys and take donations to help other children. This year they helped 2 families, CHOP’s PT department, and donated 50 toys for the Toys-for-Tots drive here at PVE.

    The Leo Club initiated a food drive over the past several weeks. Boxes of canned goods and other food items, including over 200 frozen turkeys, were collected and delivered to the Pleasant Valley Ecumenical Network local food bank.   • PVMS Student Support Mikayla's Voice

    Logan Mackes, a student at Pleasant Valley Middle School, participated in the Mikayla's Voice triathlon at Parkland High School on Saturday, June 29th. He participated along with athletes of all abilities. Logan placed first in his age group of athletes 11-17 years old. His mother Shannon, a teacher at PVHS and sister Livia, a student at PVHS, had the honor of volunteering at the event.

    As a part of the ongoing student-led Hope initiative, high school students spent the day at Pleasant Valley Intermediate School on Friday March 22. In order to spread their messages of hope and positivity, students in grades 9-12 helped all of the 4th, 5th, and 6th graders create their own hopeful messages with help from pop media and craft supplies.
