Mrs. Herr is thrilled to be the Principal of Pleasant Valley Intermediate School. Prior to serving as the Assistant Principal at PVI, she taught various elementary grade levels in the Northampton Area School District. She also holds a Master of Science in Classroom Technology through Wilkes University and her Administrative certificate through Lehigh University. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, Emmalyn, reading, and running. Mrs. Herr values building strong relations with students, parents, fellow staff members and the community. She enjoys working with Pleasant Valley Intermediate families and looks forward to seeing them at many family events throughout the year. She is committed to academic excellence and supporting students and staff. As the leader of Pleasant Valley Intermediate, she will continue to work with staff to implement a rigorous curriculum that challenges our students to be the very best they can be and support their overall academic, social, and emotional growth. It is Mrs. Herr’s belief that by working as a team we will do great things! She looks forward to a wonderful 2016 – 2017 school year!
Mr. Boos is excited about the new adventure that lies ahead in his role as the Assistant Principal at the Pleasant Valley Intermediate School and looks forward to getting to know the students, staff, and the community. Mr. Boos grew up in Mount Cobb, PA and attended the North Pocono School District in Moscow. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from East Stroudsburg University and his Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Wilkes University. He has been the Assistant Principal at the Wyalusing Valley Elementary School for the past four years and he spent six years in the classroom teaching fifth grade at North Pocono and two years teaching fifth grade in Stafford County, Virginia. Mr. Boos and his family enjoy camping, hiking, and spending time together in outdoor activities. The 2016-2017 school year will be upon us before we know it. Let's make it a great year at PVI!
Mrs. Kelli George returns to Pleasant Valley Intermediate as the Dean of Students for the fourth consecutive school year. She will be working with students and families to help resolve both academic and non-academic issues, which may interfere with students receiving the greatest benefit from the school's educational programs. Mrs. George is a familiar face at Pleasant Valley. She has served in the school district for 20 years; 5 years at John C. Mills and 15 years at PVI. She spent her first 11 years as a 6th grade classroom teacher and 6 years as a 6th grade remedial math teacher, prior to becoming the Dean of Students. Mrs. George received both her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and her Master's degree in Professional Secondary Education with a K-12 Administrative Certificate from East Stroudsburg University. In her spare time, she enjoys running, biking, and spending time with her family.
